HER STORY
Lucia Xar Miculax resides in Sector 3 of Pachimulin. As an elderly woman in rural Guatemala, Lucia lives alone. She is occasionally visited by her grandkids.
Lucia, at 71 years old, still works in the fields every day. Whatever she finds, she tries to sell, in order to buy rice and beans to stay alive.
Her living conditions are extremely poor. She is considered, even by other underprivileged villagers, to be someone living in extreme poverty.
We received a phone call about Lucia in early 2023: begging us to build her a sustainable home.
